Rollie Pollie!!

HE DID IT!! YEA!!! Landry finally rolled over!! I was at my mom and dad's house Last monday July 13th taking care of my dad after he had surgery and was sitting in the floor playing with Landry. I had put him on his belly for some tummy time and WHAM!! Just like that he rolled over like he had been doing it for years!! It took me by complete suprise! We tried to get him to do it several more time Monday and Tuesday but he had no interest in it at all. So he made me look like I was crazing and seeing things when I was trying to show everyone his new trick. Well Wednesday rolls around and he decided he could roll again and he has been rolling ever since. I love watching him do it b/c he sticks his little bottom high in the air to get some leverage and then swing his arm high in the air to help him roll. So I took his 21 week old birthday picture with him rolling. I love the look on his face- it's so intense and has a deep concentration expression while he has that arm thrown in the air trying to swing his weight over. I have to say I was one proud mommy!! He is at such a fun age right now!! Laughing/smiling/playing all the time!

He has also began to grab his feet. I'm sure when he learns to put them in his mouth he will be chewing on them b/c everything he can touch or grab he want to put in his mouth and eat these days-SO CUTE!

For Landry's 20 week old picture he is wearing an outfit that Aunt Martha, Uncle Chris and Nora gave him the first time they met Landry. They were all in Hawaii when Landry was born so cousin Nora picked out a sea turtle especially for "Andry" while they were there.
As a correction to the last post Landry weighed 16 pounds and 7oz at his 4 month appointment- NOT 12!! haha! That is just a little bit of a difference!

On a exciting note we are in the process of trying to sell our current house we are in b/c we have a contract on another house. We are very excited about our move and are really looking forward to our new home with more room for us, Landry and Sadie! On the other hand there is a little sadness to leave this house since it was our first home and the house we brought Landry home to from the hospital. However, I am really looking foward to making new memories in this new house with Landry and hopefully other children in the future. We are closing on August 28th so we are really hoping to sell our house pretty fast so we won't have 2 mortgage payments! Please keep us and our selling process in your prayers!!

Little Chunker!

Well Landry went for his 4 month old shots yesterday. He weighed in at 12 lbs and 7 ounces and was 26" long. He is in the 75th percentile for his height and weight so the dr said he was a growing very healthy little boy. He did pretty good with his shots. I always brace myself b/c I absolutely HATE hearing him cry like that! It seems like he holds his breath for 30 seconds! But I have to say he didnt cry near as much with his shots as he did when he was stung by a wasp 2 weeks ago at the lake house on his poor little head. That was both scary and awful- at least we know he isn't allergic to them now, but I hate that we found that out at such an early age. The picture of Landry in the swing with Granny is his absolute favorite place to be at the lake- on the swing!! He liked it so much we ended up getting a swing for our back porch as well.

Great Grandam Shankle came to visit for a few days this week and was able to spend so good time with Landry and Beverly for her birthday! He enjoyed her as much as she enjoyed him! It was good getting to visit with her and catching up! I wish we could make the road from her to Paris, TN shorter so we can see her more often! :) Happy Birthday Nana~!!

Milestone: He has begun to grab for his feet now and he ate rice cereal for the first time! He seemed to really like it and actually ate more than I thought he would. Yay Landry! He is growing up so fast!!
I thought this picture was sweet of his little crack showing! He will probably not like this picture being up here one day but for now it's too cute to not share.
In his 19 week old picture He is wearing an outfit that was Austin's when he was a baby and my Pawpaw's hat that he wore when we took a 4th of July trip to San Diego California. I thought Landry should be festive and in the spirit of the 4th of July! :)

Landry's green thumb

It has been forever since I have blogged. I feel like I have so much to catch up on but don't know where to start. Landry has been soooo much fun lately. He has begun to develop his personality more over the past 2 weeks. He is laughing so much more, smiling all the time and loves to chew on anything he can put in his mouth!! He is also a lot more alert now and loves to check out his surroundings. You can see those little wheels in his head turning constantly. He has a small white dot the size of a pen head on the bottom right side of his gums- so that tooth is coming on in pretty fast. He is also rolling over with a little assistance. We have to make sure we put his arm underneath him and then he can roll over. Poor thing is never put down enough to learn how to roll over himself but we try to get some tummy time in every day. Landry really loves to watch TV. I am able to put him either in his Bumbo seat or in his bouncy seat so that I can get some stuff accomplished around the house. I thought these were really cute picture of him watching "Imagination Movers" on the Disney channel. Another top favorite TV show of his is "the Mickey Mouse Club." One day we will have to limit TV time but right now his attention span is only about 10 minutes anyways so it's not a problem. I finally found him a Johnny Jump Up at Target last week so we let him try it out. These pictures are his first time sitting in it. He still isn't a big fan b/c ist hard for him to support his back right now but I'm sure in time he will love getting a workout in it.
He also loves to look in the mirror right now. He has gotten to when he smiles a someone or at himself in the mirrror he will smile really big and then turn his head into the shoulder of whoever is holding him like he is shy. It so sweet and makes me laugh every time.
I took his 17 week old picture outside in the grass b/c Landry LOVES to be outside. If he ever starts crying and I walk outside he immediately stops. He is wearing an outfit that Aunt Amber and Uncle Nathan bought him in Pulaski called the Clothes Pen and had his name monogrammed on it. I really like this store b/c they have the cutest and most unique boys clothing. It's hard to find different clothes for boys and them not all look the same b/c you can't change an outfit by adding bows or ruffles like you can with girls clothing. It's still a little big on him but the way he is growing he will fill it out in no time.
Austin and I decided to grow some tomato plants this year. So we bought 3 different types to see which one we like the best. So far Landry's plant has put out the most tomatoes. So his 18 week old picture he is sitting in his rocking chair that Grandaddy, Lulu, Great aunt Teresa and great uncle Jack gave him and wearing a very cute monkey onsie that Nana just got him holding HIS VERY OWN TOMATO. Who knew that he could have a green thumb at this age?? Nothing else has really changes or happened with him so I just thought I would post some cute pictures of him over the past 2 weeks. Enjoy!

First Father's Day and My Little Frog!

Happy First Father's day to Austin!!! Landry must have known it was a special day because he has clung on to Austin like a little monkey on a tree all weekend- but actually he has been doing this for several weeks now(Notice the picture at the top of the main blog- this is what I mean by 'my little monkey'). Any time Austin holds him now he snuggles right up next to him and holds on like he never wants to let go. It's so precious and makes my heart smile to see Landry love his daddy like he does. Austin is so good at getting him to belly laugh too! I have gotten him to laugh several times also but no one can get him to laugh like his daddy can! Landry gave Austin some customized Titalist ProV1 golf balls that have "1st Father's Day I love you- Landry" written on them. Austin really liked them (of course- you can never go wrong with golf presents for Austin). Austin is such a WONDERFUL daddy to Landry and I couldn't have asked for a better husband or Christian leader for our home!

Landry has loved bath time since he was a tiny baby! (Well except for his first bath ever in which he peed all over the mirror and dirtied his bath towel before we ever got a diaper on him- so we pretty much had to bathe him twice). So I just knew he was going to love swimming and he does. He is like a little frog in the water. We probably swam for 30-45 minutes and he loved every minute of it- but wasn't to big on getting splashed in the face by the boys jumping off the diving board. He was so cute and actually got so relaxed that he fell asleep in Aunt Susan's arms while in the pool. I think the water wore him out because he came home that night and slept from 9:30 till 6:00am. He woke up- nursed and went right back to sleep till WE HAD TO wake him up at 8:15 to get him ready for church. I think we may go swimming every day now! :) I like his little do-rag we put on him to keep the sun off his head!

Landry has also learned to sing with me. Whenever we sing to him now he coo's right along with us and he loves music. It's SOOO sweet! Byrdie was holding him at my Granny's the other day after church and was singing itsy bitsy spider with him and even doing the hand movements. Of course he was cooing right along with her and he kept closing his eyes. I had just gotten out of my mouth "I bet if you were to stop moving his arms he would fall asleep." No sooner than I had gotten those words out of my mouth his little head fell over to the side and fell asleep in the middle of the chorus of "Itsy Bitsy Spider" with his arms still in the air making the "spider crawl". It was precious and will be something I will always remember! :) My granny also drew a 'tatoo' on his arm and said it was a picture of his daddy b/c it was Father's day. hehe! Between the do-rag and the tatoo I better start watching out who he is hanging around- he is turning into a little rebel! :)

Fleetwood Mac has always been a favorite group of mine- second to the Beach Boys of course. :) Well my entire family all bought tickets months back to go to the concert. I didn't buy a ticket back in April though b/c things change when you have a baby and I wasn't sure what mood he would be in that day so I decided to just wait and not go. Well an extra ticket came available last minute so my wonderful husband let me go to the Fleetwood Mac concert Friday night with my whole family while he baby sat. I had a wonderful time and it was nice to get out of the house and go do something for myself- even though I was texting austin the whole concert to check on Landry! haha! Things will truely never be the same and I wouldn't change it for anything.

30 Years and Counting!

So I had mentioned I had been really busy lately planning Mother and Daddy's 30th anniversary party so I thought I would share some of the pictures taken that day. It was a lot of fun to honor them and their marriage. They really enjoyed the party and it was fun getting to share in this celebration with friends and family. They sacrifaced a lot and gave Amber and I the wedding of our dreams so we wanted to give them a wonderful day to remember as well as they hit the 30 year mark. We have literally been planning this party since their 25th anniversary. We were unable to give them the party then b/c I wasn't married nor had a job(even though I KNEW I was marrying Austin), Nathan just got accepted to dental school, and Amber had just graduated from dental hygiene school and hadn't even began working yet. So we brainstormed for 5 years to make this the party of their dreams just like they had done for us on our wedding day. I Love you mother and daddy and thanks for the wonderful example you have set for me! I can't wait to make it 30 years with Austin!

Hello Blue Eyes!!!

Landry's eyes are very blue right now! It looks like they are going to hopefully stay that way since both Austin and I have blue eyes also. I just thought this picture was so cute of him and captured those beautiful blue eyes!
