Catching up

Oh these two sweet little boys steal my heart more with each day that goes by. Just a little catch up on Lochlan. He is such a sweet laid back baby and smiles all the time. I am SO thankful for that! He sleeps 5-6 hours at a time each night and when he wakes up he eats and goes right back to sleep. He is now holding his head up without any assistance and just this past week he has discovered his sweet precious perfectly formed hands and chuckled when being tickled. He loves to sleep with his hands by his face. I love watching him just stare at amazement at them-it's so precious. He is a VERY big mamma's boy and loves to snuggle and always has since he was born. I'm not going to lie-I love this! Landry never was a big mammas boy even as a baby. He was happy and content with whoever he was with-that's not the case with this little boy. Don't get me wrong-he is a happy baby but if he is crying as soon as I get him in my arms even if I do the same thing someone else was doing to try to sooth him he stops crying. He is a BIG boy and is already in 6 month clothing even though he is 3 months old. He weighed 15 pounds at his 2 month appointment and was 23.5 inches long. I love the way he stares in my eyes and I love this sweet baby more with each breath he takes.
Landry is such a good big brother. He loves Lochlan so much and is always taking good care of him and wanting to hold, kiss and hug him. He has done AMAZING with this big change in his life-much better than I anticipated him doing! Since he can't pronounce his "L's" he calls him "Baby Wockin" and will sometime still refer to him as "baby coco." He is really into any kind of ball right now rather it be basketball, football, basketball, soccer. Just give that kid a ball and he is happy. He loves life more than anyone I have ever seen and his love and joy is contagious and spreads throughout our household. He has a BIG sweet tooth and loves anything with sugar but especially chocolate, jelly beans, and gummy fruit. But he is also very good at eating fruits. His favorites are apples, strawberries and mandarian oranges. He weighed 30 pounds and was 36" tall last month at the doctors office. He naps for 2-3 hours and gets up between 6-630 every day no matter what time he goes to bed. He is also really testing his boundaries with us right now and trying to see where the line is at with a lot of things. Guess that goes along with the age?! He is talking in full sentences for several months now and has been 100% potty trained since August and his imagination is growing every day. We have had two "mommy, daddy, Landry dates since Lochlan was born so the both of us could give Landry 100% attention. The first one we made a gingerbread house together and the most recent one we took him to the movies to see the chipmonk movie. He did much better in the movie than I thought but I have to say I don't think we would have made it through without the big bowl of popcorn and "white coke" (this is what Landry calls sprite-which he only gets on a special occasion). I love these two precious blessings more than I ever thought was possible to love someone! So excited to see what the future holds for them and our family!
