Life has been in the fast lane lately...and what i mean by that is Landry hasn't slowed down at all. I will attach just a few picture of what our every day life consist of. He is really big into golf right now and this makes his daddy very very happy-so much so Austin took one of his old clubs sawed off the shaft and put a handle on it so it was just the perfect size for him so now he has his very own REAL golf club(WATCH OUT SADIE!).
This sweet little boy loves to bring me flowers.....even my very own flowers that I have planted in flower pots. It's hard to get on to him when he is picking them b/c he brings them to me with a big smile on his face and says "he you go mommy-i love you big" and gives me a big hug after giving the flower to me. This melts my heart every time even when all my pretty flowers are gone from my pots, but it's ok I can always plant more so I will never turn down him showing his love to me. (not sure why my computer decided to underline this paragraph and not sure how to get it off on blogger.)
Landry is still completely in love with all animals but especially horses aka "hor", cows aka"boo cows" and rabbits aka "hop hop." So it works out perfectly that a good friend of ours is neighbors with my aunt and uncle and she has several animals on her land including rabbits, horses and miniature horses. One of the best parts of the trip is Landry getting to ride on the Kabota which he calls a "Bota." On of the miniature horses just had a baby that was the size of a small dog. We love going out to to see the horses and they are so gentle and good with Landry. One of them is so gentle and trained she will actually roll over like a dog when you tell her to and she is in the mood to entertain. She will also let Landry ride on her back which he loves. We enjoy going out there just as much as he does and it is great family time for the 3 of us.
These are just a few things that we do on a daily or weekly basis. The summer is already filling up and we are looking forward to whats to come.
When we aren't spending the day playing golf ball or on the farm playing with the horses you can bet that you will find us outside playing in his new swimming pool we got him even Sadie gets in and participates in the fun. This was money well spent and really helps cool off the heat from these upper 90 degree days we have been having lately. I have found that big boy underwear is the easiest and cheapest way to let him play in the water all day. He likes to go pee pee on the grass and trees so they are a lot easier to get off and on than swim diapers and swimming trunks. The best part is when we come inside for a quick break we take them off let them dry in the sun and are ready to wear again when we go back out. He may kill me one day for putting these pictures on here, but I think they are adorable. He loves playing in the water! I think he would stay in it all day if I would let him but with us not having any big trees in our yard that heat can get to this 5 1/2 month pregnant mommy after a few hours so we take several breaks for a nice cool drink in the shade.
He is changing and growing up so fast. I can't believe that in a few 4+ months he is going to be a big brother! This makes me very excited and very sad at the same time..am I weird for feeling that way?? I just can't seem to grasp MY baby being a big brother and not being the "baby" anymore. I will catch up on milestones very soon b/c I am very behind on those. Hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful summer as much as we are so far and what's exciting is that it's just getting started! :)
